assignment #7 motion

this is my shot before. i did this by setting up my camera to a fast shutter speed, and then i spun the quarter in front of my lens and took three or four pictures while it was spinning. it took me a few tries to get good shots, and i ended up liking the pictures that showed the quarter about to fall because it really shows the motion.



this is my picture after i fixed it. the lighting is better, and i like the whiter background, so the focal point sticks out more.





this image is before i fixed it. i struggled getting enough light so i could have the shutter speed fast enough, so i like the after picture better because there is enought light. i took this picture by filling a wine glass half way up with water and then i poured more water in slowly, and this was the shot i got with that shutter speed.



this is the shot after i fixed it. the whites and blacks are more drastic, and the changed exposure makes the image sharper because it is brighter.



this is an example of slow shutter speed. i took this late at night, so it would be darker and the flashlight is the only thing visible. i took this by myself, so i actually had to set the timer and walk far away and then turn on the flashlight and wave it around for an estimated time. it was kind of scary because i was by myself and it was so dark.



this is the picture after i fixed it. i like how the light of the flashlight seems brighter, and you can't see the trees and snow in the background anymore like you kind of can in the picture before. i also like how the light reflects off of the cement because it had rained earlier.



this is an example of slow shutter speed. i had to wait until it got kind of dark so i could do a longer exposure. you can pick out the basketball being shot while it is in the air.

this is an example from the web of slow shutter speed. this shot is creative, and obviously took a lot of work, because the lights are coming from so many different places.



this is an example from the web of fast shutter speed. i like these kind of shots because it shows a lot of detail, and it also captures the whole movement in a short second.
